Locally Grown Ingredients

Erie Canal Brewing Company promotes the use  of 100% local ingredients and the history of hops on the Erie Canal.  The brewery’s signature beer, Muleskinner Pale Ale, brewed along the  Erie Canal in Canastota reflects the light citrus aroma and flavor of  Madison County’s cascade hop. Our beer recipes use only the finest hops,  barley, and other ingredients.

Our new taproom location will be here soon!  We are just weeks away from our Peterboro St. location's grand opening! We will be located at 135 S Petorboro St in Canastota, NY.  Our Erie Canal taproom will feature our Erie Canal beers along with our beers from our sister brewery Seneca St. Brew Pub in Manlius, NY.

Try our Hero Series beers (Amber Waves of Grain, Ground Pounder IPA, and American Warrior Pale Ale) from Erie Canal that were made in conjunction with the veterans from Clear Path and our award winning Irish Red Ale from Seneca St. Brewery that took a gold medal in the NY State Craft Beer Competition.

We will be serving a variety of NYS Farm brewery craft beer, wine, and hard cider. We also will have a small bottle shop for "to go" sales and a small food menu.

We are excited to be a part of Canastota's Historical Downtown District and look forward to providing a great atmosphere for the people of Canastota and Central NY!

We also are at Canastota's Farmer's Market every Monday with beer samples!  Stop down and say hello and try our beer!
